Janice Mason Art Museum is hosting an art exhibition featuring digitally generated images titled “Playing with Pixels” by John Begley of Louisville, Kentucky.  The new exhibit will run through August 14.  Image making is accomplished not only using digital means (iPhone, iPad and computer apps) but a variety of media, formats and materials are on display. The democratizing nature in which art production using digital media can be output today is the primary premise explored in this exhibition.

Begley, now retired from directing galleries and teaching curatorial studies at the University of Louisville, currently maintains an art practice in Louisville, KY. Trained as a printmaker and having worked as a curator and gallery director since 1975, he continues to be active as a curator, art services consultant and producing artist.
