“As It Was – As It Is” is a retrospective of Kathryn Coon Harper’s art that traverses 50 years of paintings and drawings. Kathryn taught painting and drawing at Louisiana State University before moving to Trigg County in 1978 to be with her husband Wayne Harper. She was commissioned by Land Between The Lakes to illustrate a cookbook for the Homeplace 1850 Farm. That was the beginning of a 30 year career and commitment to a Kentucky lifestyle. Her most recent paintings focus on the visual and economic changes in our farm landscape.
